Job Overview
The Landscape Construction Project Manager oversees job-site construction and installation, directing crews and ensuring safety across multiple concurrent projects. This role coordinates closely with job-site contractors and reports on project progress. The majority of time is spent in the field, with some time at the Fort Worth office. The ideal candidate brings strong field knowledge, leadership ability, and a professional presence — you’ll be representing TLF on every site you manage.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret landscape drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Manage multiple construction and installation projects simultaneously
- Supervise on-site installation crews, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Verify plant material orders against specifications
- Produce daily project reports with photos
- Adapt to client concerns and scope changes as they arise
- Ensure all crew members adhere to TLF policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Maintain collaborative working relationships across departments to support a positive, productive environment
- Ensure company vehicles and uniforms (self and crew) are clean and properly maintained
- Follow established construction procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in landscape construction (required)
- 2+ years of supervisory experience (preferred)
- 3+ years of landscape maintenance experience (preferred)
- General knowledge of plant material, drainage, and irrigation installation
- Ability to read, analyze, and understand project budgets
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public
- Comfortable solving practical problems in fast-paced environments with limited standardization
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to adjust priorities and adapt to schedule changes quickly
