Best Western Plus is searching for a committed, proactive Night Auditor to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment. The Night Auditor will provide services to guests, balance all income, prepare daily reports, as well as other duties assigned. You will also need to be familiar with and comply with Best Western/Capt. Hirams Resort’s Mission and Service Standards to go above and beyond for every guest, every time.
This position may require nights, weekends, holidays, and shift work. This position is for 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts. Candidate must be 21 years of age.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet all guests incoming and outgoing
- Balance all income
- Post room and tax accurately, verify postings to Housekeeper’s and Room Revenue Report
- Prepare Daily Sales and Revenue Report
- Transmit nightly figures to Hotel Manager
- Complete required reports and assemble audit bag
- Close out day on register
- Open lobby doors at assigned time
- Report safety hazards or violations you may see or witness while performing your required duties
- Answer and handle all incoming calls efficiently and accurately
- Responsible for clear and effective communications between co-workers, management, and other departments
- Proficiency in job knowledge, with ability to answer guest inquiries
- Check guests in/out with POS system
- Collect payments and posting charges to guest’s folio
- Always follow security and safety standards
- Stay familiar with rates, rate codes, and promotions
- Maintain a professional appearance that complies with the uniform code
- Ensure the front desk, lobby and business center are well maintained and presentable throughout your shift
- Any tasks deemed necessary by the Front Desk Manager/General Manager in the future
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and other activities as requested. The employee must be able to lift/or move up to 50 pounds.
