Why does the job exist?
The Senior Financial Analyst will:
Audit all invoices for the department and enter payment vouchers into SHARE, process Operating Transfer Requests (OPR), journal entry corrections, journal vouchers, complete Accounts Payable reconciliations/schedules, work with external auditors with yearly financial audit;
Monitor, reconcile, process, and maintain multiple accounting records and funding sources for Accounts Payable.
How does it get done?
The Senior Financial Analyst responsible for:
Acting as a first level preparer of financial documents for the Accounts Payable Bureau and ensuring records are accurate and compliant with Federal and State laws, regulations and standards;
Auditing all invoices for the department and entering payment vouchers into SHARE, processing Operating Transfer Requests (OPR), journal entry corrections, journal vouchers, completing Accounts Payable reconciliations/schedules, and working with external auditors with yearly financial audit;
Ensuring that the DFA Model of Accounting Practices (MAP's) and internal policies and procedures are adhered to;
All other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration and three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, and/or statistical analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage with extended periods of sitting. Some standing, bending and reaching may be required. Must be able to lift 25lbs.
