Join the St. Camillus Culinary Services Team as a Bartender
St. Camillus is seeking a friendly, dependable Bartender to support resident events, happy hours, pub service, and special functions. This position plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming experience for residents and guests while maintaining high standards for safe beverage service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages for residents and guests, setting up and stocking bar areas, following all bartending regulations, maintaining clean and safe workstations, and supporting Culinary Services during events and daily operations.
Qualifications and Job Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, speak English, follow written and verbal instructions, and perform basic math.
- Ability to provide courteous, professional service to residents, guests, and team members.
- Knowledge of safe beverage preparation, proper pours, storage, labeling, sanitation, and clean-up practices.
- Ability to coordinate with kitchen and culinary team members for meal service, happy hours, and special events.
- Good personal hygiene and commitment to maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry items up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to accurately manage a cash drawer as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix and serve cocktails and beverages as ordered by residents and guests.
- Set up, stock, and maintain the bar for Pub service, Happy Hours, and special events.
- Date, label, and properly store liquor, garnishes, and related supplies.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations and equipment.
- Report food, beverage, supply, and equipment needs to the supervisor.
- Complete weekly inventory and coordinate orders with the Chef, Culinary Director, or vendor.
- Comply with bartending regulations, department policies, resident safety expectations, and St. Camillus customer service standards.
- Attend department meetings and required in-service trainings.
