We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our boxing and kickboxing gym to new heights! Duties
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals through effective coaching and performance management
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase store revenue and market share
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure attractive product displays and optimal stock levels
- Manage daily store operations including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, pricing accuracy, and checkout procedures
- Conduct hiring interviews, employee orientation, training & development sessions to build a skilled and motivated team
- Monitor operational tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory control to ensure smooth store functioning
- Foster excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management with strong leadership capabilities in supervising teams within a retail environment
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to influence customer purchasing decisions and vendor relations
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Extensive knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, sales management techniques, and operational procedures
- Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, training staff, and managing employee orientation programs
- Proficient in POS systems, inventory management software, cash handling procedures, and merchandising tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple priorities such as shift management and marketing initiatives
- Excellent communication skills paired with a friendly phone etiquette for engaging customers and team members alike
- Experience in gym or specialty retail stores is advantageous; familiarity with wireless sales is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example with supervisory experience in retail sales team management and store operations
