Position Summary:
The Bilingual Warehouse Production/Utility Assistant supports the daily operations of a recycling facility by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace and assisting production staff in processing recyclable materials. This role ensures smooth facility operations while adhering to strict safety standards while working with a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with customers in a helpful courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, sorting, and production areas, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and equipment sanitation.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of recyclable materials (e.g., cardboard, plastics, and paper) safely and efficiently.
- Support production staff in preparing and staging materials for processing or shipment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and, if certified, forklifts.
- Monitor and restock supplies used in production, sorting, and facility maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and facility areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards, reporting issues promptly.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks or set up equipment under supervision.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of recyclable materials and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations and production goals.
- Work with Office staff to achieve daily goals and objectives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Chinese preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, recycling, or production environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely (typically up to 50 lbs).
- Basic knowledge of warehouse or recycling facility operations.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if required.
- Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
- Basic forklift mechanical and maintenance skills and knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in physically challenging conditions
Working Conditions:
- Recycling facility environment with exposure to machinery, equipment, and various recyclable materials.
- Strict adherence to safety regulations is required.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
