Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Party Chief / Instrument Person to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a professional who takes pride in accurate fieldwork and is eager to grow their career alongside experienced Registered Land Surveyors.
Candidates with field-to-finish experience and the ability to support office drafting and data processing are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all field data
- Complete field calculations (levels, traverses, construction layouts)
- Operate and maintain Leica survey equipment (Total Station, GPS, Digital Levels)
- Prepare clear and complete field notes and sketches
- Assist with field-to-finish workflow, including data processing and coordination with office staff (preferred)
- Maintain crew vehicle and equipment
- Follow all company and site safety procedures
- Support complex surveying projects as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong math, communication, and organizational skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief or Instrument Person (preferred)
- Proficiency in modern field survey methods and equipment
- Field-to-finish experience is a strong plus
- Desire to grow professionally and learn advanced surveying techniques
- Ability to work overtime and travel throughout Georgia
- Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
