Beaverdam Falls LLC, Virginia’s Premier Nature Preserve, is looking for a head housekeeper to manage the cleaning at 10 different rental properties. 7 are located in Alleghany County, VA just outside Sweet Springs, WV, and 3 are located in or around Union, WV in Monroe County.
Tasks include daily turnover of all cabins, cottages, and campsites, as well as communal bathrooms, and the main office. Other responsibilities include guest interaction, managing supplies, and linens. Cleaning experience is a must. Housekeeper is responsible for all interior spaces as well as outside porch cleanliness at all listings. Deep cleaning is a must.
This is a part-time position part of the year in slower times, but easily exceeds 32 hours, with more available if desired during peak Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Daily hours range but 10-3 is a usual work time during the day. Schedule is largely and usually known two weeks - month prior, but full time availability and accommodating last minute requests are essential in this position. This is a fast paced job. The best candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, efficient with time, be reliable and on-call, and be able to multi task in order to prepare for a high volume of guest turnover. We exceed over 350 different reservations at least per year.
Pay is based on experience, but starting pay is $20/hour, paid weekly, with room to grow. During off season times, position still pays $300-400/week minimum during January and February regardless of hourly work. This is a 1099 position, and requires a good, reliable car, driver’s license and clear criminal record. Benefits include 1 week paid vacation, full gas allowance and flexible schedules. Company car may be provided after a certain period.
