Overview
We're seeking a dependable, customer-focused Overnight Front Desk Attendant to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting guests during overnight hours, managing front desk operations, and helping maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment throughout the night. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while providing exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and efficiently manage check-ins and check-outs
- Answer phone calls, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservations
- Accurately process online and phone bookings
- Provide information about room types, rates, hotel amenities, and local attractions
- Monitor the property throughout the night to ensure guest safety and security
- Address guest concerns, requests, and issues in a prompt and professional manner
- Process payments and verify credit card information
- Maintain accurate guest records and complete nightly reports and audit tasks
- Keep the front desk, lobby, and common areas clean, organized, and presentable
- Communicate important information to management and daytime staff during shift transitions
Qualifications
- Availability to work overnight shifts, typically Friday night through Wednesday morning
- Previous front desk, customer service, receptionist, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to problem-solve and remain calm under pressure
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel software systems
Preferred Experience
- Previous hotel front desk or hospitality experience
- Familiarity with reservation or property management systems
- Experience working overnight shifts and maintaining a consistent nighttime schedule
- Cash handling and payment processing experience
