- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Review medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with medical coding is a plus
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review processes
