Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and professional janitorial staff to work at a VA Hospital in New Mexico. This position involves maintaining cleanliness in a healthcare environment, which requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to protocols, and a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining all floor areas
- Dusting surfaces, vents, and fixtures
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and high-touch areas
- Emptying and removing trash and biohazard waste
- Disinfecting patient rooms and common areas
- Performing terminal cleaning of patient discharge rooms in compliance with hospital infection control standards
- Restocking paper products, hand soap, and supplies
- Following all safety and infection prevention protocols
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 10 positions available
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 9 positions available
- Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 1 position available
Requirements:
Requirements:
- Prior janitorial or hospital housekeeping experience preferred
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Must pass a background check for access to a federal facility
- Must demonstrate professionalism and discretion in a government healthcare setting
