Medical Director (Psychiatrist Preferred)
Nuevo Amanecer Care Center Corp. is seeking a licensed Medical Director to provide medical leadership and oversight for our outpatient behavioral health clinic in Miami, Florida. This is a part-time Independent Contractor (1099) position with a flexible schedule.
Psychiatrists are strongly preferred. Physicians with experience in behavioral health may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight for outpatient behavioral health services.
- Ensure compliance with Florida, AHCA, and Medicaid regulations.
- Review and approve clinical policies and treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, APRNs, therapists, case managers, and administrative staff.
- Participate in quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities.
- Provide medical consultation and clinical guidance as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Florida MD or DO license in good standing.
- Psychiatrist preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health and outpatient mental health services preferred.
- Previous Medical Director experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
