Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiation therapy sessions by explaining procedures and positioning them accurately using advanced imaging tools such as CT scans.
- Administer radiation treatments with precision, adhering strictly to prescribed doses and safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated medical imaging equipment, including CT scanners, to facilitate accurate targeting of treatment areas.
- Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans as needed in collaboration with oncologists and medical physicists.
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatment plans, patient progress, and any adverse reactions or incidents during therapy sessions.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards related to radiation exposure for patients, staff, and yourself.
- Stay current with developments in radiation therapy techniques, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to continually improve patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in radiation therapy with proficiency in medical imaging modalities such as CT scans.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to oncology treatments.
- Critical care experience or background in acute care settings is highly desirable for managing complex cases.
- Knowledge of mammography and other specialized imaging techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate advanced radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $91,500.00 per year
