Position Summary
We are seeking a warm, dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our young learners throughout the school day.
Schedule
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM
- Type: Day Shift (35 hours per week, no weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children ages 18 months through Pre-Kindergarten.
- Support lead teachers with story time, games, creative projects, and classroom activities.
- Assist with daily routines including meal/snack times, nap time setup, potty training, and diaper changing.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom by sanitizing toys and learning materials.
- Assist with outdoor play and playground supervision.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required (or currently enrolled).
- Clearance: Ability to pass a required background check and fingerprint clearance.
- Skills: Reliability, strong communication, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
