We are a well-established, growing local contractor specializing in water wells, plumbing, water treatment systems, and construction services. We’re looking for a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team and drive new business across Southwest Florida. Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop lead and sales opportunities with local developers, condominium associations, property managers, realtors, homebuilders, remodelers, landscapers, agriculture, and other commercial, municipal, and industrial clients.
- Track leads, opportunities, and maintain a robust sales funnel/pipeline in the company’s system to ensure organized follow-up and accurate forecasting.
- Determine the viability of leads — qualifying winnable, profitable jobs with clients capable of paying for our services.
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and bids while adhering to company margin requirements.
- Conduct professional sales presentations to potential customers, trade associations, and industry events.
- Meet with commercial, municipal, and industrial clients to market tailored products, services, and maintenance agreements.
- Critically analyze bid documents, identify risks and opportunities, and clearly communicate them to management.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the operations team once proposals or bids are approved.
- Network during work hours and occasionally after hours while representing the company at designated industry events.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing, water wells, water treatment systems, construction, or a related service/sales business.
- Strong familiarity with local municipal, industrial, agricultural, developers, condominium associations, property managers, realtors, and homebuilders in Southwest Florida is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, provide quotes, and close sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be clear, respectful, friendly, and professional.
- High energy, self-motivated, analytical, and team-oriented with strong integrity and honesty.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office/estimating programs, and other business tools.
- Valid driver’s license, clean criminal record, and ability to pass a background screening.
- Professional appearance and willingness to work 40–50 hours per week (Monday–Friday).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary of $75k - $80k per year + commission (based on performance).
- Vehicle allowance.
- Eligibility for our incentive-based deferred compensation program after the 1st year.
- 10 days of PTO.
- Company credit card for approved business expenses (meals, marketing, trade events, etc.).
- 90-day probationary/training period to ensure mutual long-term fit.
