Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Construction CDL Dump Truck Driver to join our ROW Construction Division. The ideal candidate will operate dump trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment to various construction sites. This role involves local travel within and neighboring states, with an emphasis on clear communication and adherence to safety standards. Candidates should expect travel to various job sites around the state. Candidates will report to the office in Gunter, TX every other Monday so living within 40 miles would be preferable. We provide hotel and per diem. We pay overtime for any hours worked over 40 hours per week. We pay weekly. Health, dental, vision, etc benefits are available after 60 days. This is a full time position. This is an excellent company to work for. Come be a part of our team!
Position Main Responsibilities:
- Driving a dump truck. Hauling equipment, materials and supplies.
- Conduct Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections.
- Exercise good customer service when required to Interact with customers.
- Report mechanical issues with the truck to the appropriate shop personnel.
- Keep truck and all associated equipment clean and in good working order.
- Manage logs and records as per DOT regulations.
- Inspect freight and vehicle for compliance with regulations.
- Report accidents and violations.
Requirements:
- Class A CDL Driver’s License.
- Clear Motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Verifiable previous 2 year driving employment History.
- Ability to work with time restraints and deadlines.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- The ability to balance multiple tasks, along with strong communication skills is essential.
- Must be able to speak, write and communicate effectively in English.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Driver must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a truck/vehicle.
- The frequent physical demands of the position could be requiring able to lift 25-50 lbs. Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
- The occasional physical demands of the position are talking, hearing and repetitive hand motions.
