Garage Door Installer / Service Technician
TF Draper Company is looking for a dependable, hard-working individual to join our growing team. We are a family-owned garage door company serving residential and commercial customers throughout the area. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and taking pride in quality workmanship, we'd love to meet you.
This position includes garage door installation, service and repair, shop work, and occasional woodworking or custom fabrication projects. We are looking for someone who is motivated, reliable, and ready to grow with our company.
Responsibilities
- Install residential and commercial garage doors and openers.
- Diagnose and repair garage door systems, including springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and openers.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.
- Load, unload, and organize materials in the shop and on service vehicles.
- Assist with shop projects, including woodworking and custom garage door preparation.
- Safely lift and install heavy doors and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and company vehicle.
- Provide professional, friendly customer service on every job site.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
- Construction, garage door, mechanical, woodworking, or related experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard in all weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
