Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on various metal components, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the construction and manufacturing of durable structures, ductwork, piping, and sheet metal assemblies. Duties
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials including
- Fabrication.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble parts.
- Follow safety protocols related to welding operations, rigging, crane use, and working on construction sites.
- Assist in fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, soldering, pipe threading, and assembly of metal structures.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience with MIG welding in construction or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices.
- Familiarity with TIG welding and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites with crane operation and rigging skills preferred.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines.
- Mechanical knowledge of ductwork, piping systems, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by construction projects.
