Job Title: Chemical Machine Operator (Day & Afternoon Shift)
Location: St. Clair County, IL
Day Shift: $19.00/hr
Afternoon Shift: $19.75/hr
Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Chemical Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining chemical processing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Candidates should be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and following strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chemical processing machinery and equipment
- Follow batching instructions and production schedules accurately
- Measure, mix, and load raw materials according to specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Maintain accurate production and safety records
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and use of PPE
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred (chemical processing experience is a plus)
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and standard operating procedures
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Pay: $19.00 - $19.75 per hour
