IMPROVLearning is hiring a detail-oriented and resourceful Compliance Coordinator to support our Compliance Department. This role plays a key part in keeping our operations compliant with all regulatory and corporate licensing requirements. The right candidate will manage licensing across multiple jurisdictions, keeps track of renewals, understand application processes, and work well with both internal teams and outside agencies. You will play a direct role in maintaining our high standards in safety education compliance while enabling cross-functional collaboration and continuous process improvement.
IMPROVLearning is seeking qualified Texas Driver Safety Instructors to support in-person defensive driving and driver safety training programs in the Houston / Greater Harris County area.
This role is responsible for delivering engaging, professional, and compliant driver safety instruction to adult learners at assigned training locations.
The right candidate must hold current TDLR-approved / Texas driving safety instructor credentials or equivalent Texas defensive driving qualifications and be comfortable teaching structured six-hour in-person classes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Texas Driver Safety Instructor at IMPROVLearning, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality defensive driving instruction in accordance with program requirements. Your duties will encompass:
· Delivering six-hour in-person defensive driving / driver safety classes to adult learners.
· Teaching at assigned training facilities or worksites in the Houston / Greater Harris County area.
· Maintaining availability for at least one scheduled class per month, with flexibility for additional classes as requested.
· Arriving at least 30 minutes before class start time for setup and coordination with onsite staff.
· Following approved course materials, curriculum, learning objectives, and delivery requirements.
· Conducting interactive or hands-on exercises that reinforce safe-driving behaviors, hazard recognition, situational awareness, and decision-making skills.
· Providing and managing sign-in sheets, attendance records, participant evaluations, and required class documentation.
· Administering any required course exam or completion process.
· Maintaining professional conduct and complying with program monitoring, audits, scheduling, reporting, and policy requirements.
· Supporting post-class reporting requirements, including attendance, completion status, certificates issued, incident/disruption reports, and pass/fail information.

· Staying organized and meeting required timelines for class setup and post-class documentation.
· Maintaining a high standard of professionalism during monitored or audited classes.
Experience Requirements
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
· Current TDLR-approved / Texas driving safety instructor credentials or equivalent Texas defensive driving instructional qualifications.
· Ability to provide TDLR issued documentation showing proof of a current driver safety/defensive driving instructor certification or approval.
· Experience delivering defensive driving, driver safety, traffic safety, or related training.
· Adult education, classroom instruction, or professional training experience.
· Ability to teach a six-hour in-person defensive driving class.
· Ability to reliably travel to assigned training locations in the Houston / Greater Harris County area.
· Experience managing attendance records, sign-in sheets, participant evaluations, and class documentation.
· Strong verbal communication and classroom management skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Professional demeanor and ability to comply with program standards, policies, and monitoring requirements.
