American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active CA RN license and at least 1 year of emergency department experience.

General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
-
STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
-
Approximately 135 patient visits per day with 20-26 rooms/beds and an average daily census of 105
-
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
-
Required to work 3 out of every 6 weekends
-
Floating required to the Observation Unit (ER Hold patients) as well as to affiliate hospitals nearby
-
No on-call requirements
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
-
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
-
ENPC certification preferred
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, psychiatric, and pediatric cases

Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and interpretation
-
Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE required

May wear personal scrubs but prints are not permitted

RTO must not exceed 7 days
-
Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
