NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSTING DATE: August 8, 2025 POSITION ID: 25-FTA-03

POSITION: Bus Driver DEPARTMENT: Transportation

SALARY: Starting wage: $20.40

Reimbursement of pre-employment physical, drug test, background check, and license
endorsement upon completion of training up to $250.
Full-time positions are guaranteed 5.25 hours/day, Monday – Friday
Part-time positions will vary on days and shifts for a.m. and/or p.m.

START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year DEADLINE: Ongoing

Job Summary:
Bus Drivers play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students and maintaining a positive
relationship with the school community. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a
commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. We welcome qualified candidates to

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport students to and from designated locations.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Foster a respectful and friendly atmosphere while interacting with co-workers, students, and parents.
Navigate efficiently using maps to ensure timely and accurate transportation routes.
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all stakeholders.
Comply with all District requirements and Board of Education policies.
Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.
Embrace a flexible work schedule as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
Must have a clean driving record required.
Must be able to pass pre-employment and annual DOT physicals.
Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals.
Proficient in reading and understanding maps.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capacity to work under stress while maintaining professionalism.
