Position Summary:
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst drives supply chain efficiency through advanced planning, forecasting, inventory control, and material flow optimization to support the production of UL-891 switchboards. This role is responsible for overseeing Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Kanban systems, Plan For Every Part (PFEP), warehouse optimization projects, and process improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong ERP and Excel expertise, hands-on warehouse and inventory experience, and the ability to mentor junior analysts while collaborating cross-functionally with Purchasing, Fabrication, and Warehouse teams.
This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Develop and maintain Plan For Every Part (PFEP) systems, including warehouse mapping, rack elevations, transport methods, and pallet specifications
- Implement and monitor Kanban systems to ensure inventory accuracy and material availability
- Analyze historical usage trends, demand forecasts, and replenishment strategies to optimize lot sizes and reorder points
- Monitor inventory health and identify obsolete or excess inventory opportunities
- Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory strategies
Warehouse & Process Improvement
- Lead warehouse optimization initiatives including layout redesigns, rack numbering, and material handling improvements
- Conduct process audits to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards
- Evaluate Water Spider parts and improve shop floor ergonomics and material flow
- Recommend ERP enhancements, reporting tools, and technology improvements to support scalability
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report KPIs including Kanban accuracy, inventory health, and material flow efficiency
- Create dashboards, reports, and data models using Excel and ERP systems
- Provide daily and weekly operational updates to Supply Chain leadership
- Support capacity planning and process redesign initiatives with data-driven analysis
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and train Supply Chain Analysts and junior team members
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Fabrication, and Warehouse teams to align material flow with production schedules
- Meet regularly with Warehouse leadership and stakeholders to address process improvements and operational challenges
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory control, manufacturing, or material flow operations
- 2+ years of ERP system experience (Global Shop Solutions, SAP, Epicor, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and macros
- Experience with Kanban systems, inventory management, and warehouse operations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
- APICS CSCP certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- AutoCAD experience or certification
- Experience in manufacturing or electrical equipment environments
