Duties
- Assist with patient intake by gathering medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
- Perform preliminary testing such as visual acuity assessments, autorefractor measurements, and intraocular pressure checks using aseptic techniques to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Support optometrists during examinations by preparing necessary equipment and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient flow at the front desk, scheduling appointments, confirming insurance details, and handling retail sales of eyewear products with retail math proficiency.
- Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy standards and proper documentation of all patient interactions.
- Assist with billing and coding processes related to medical procedures to facilitate smooth clinic operations and revenue cycle management.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
