We are looking for an energetic, customer service savvy employee to work at our busy The UPS Store. As an associate of The UPS Store you will be tasked with an array of duties to assist customers with their business and/or personal needs on a daily basis. Accuracy and efficiency are a must in this environment. Attention to detail and organization is required while on shift. The candidate that fits our needs is genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, quick on their toes and in their minds, when addressing customers needs. Problem-solving comes naturally to our ideal hire. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in a courteous manner, while maintaining distance and safe practices for you and other patrons.
- Learn and know the brand so you are best able to help customers accomplish their goal efficiently and with confidence
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open communication, and providing world class customer service
- Ability to operate a point of sale using debit/ credit / cash/ and an occasional check.
- Keep a cool and collected manner when dealing with multiple customer needs simultaneously. A strong ability to multitask is beneficial.
- Keeping a record of customers in a database where it remains secure and confidential.
- Following procedures, guidelines and policies recommended by the local and national facilities
Skills
- Customer experience for 1 year or more in retail or other fast paced and demanding customer driven position
- Strong communication abilities with an emphases on listening, and understanding details that may be vague and unsure
- Familiarity with POS, Microsoft, Adobe, and an ease to learning proprietary systems quickly and efficiently
- Keep a cool and collected manner when dealing with multiple customer needs simultaneously
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Must be able spell with accuracy, and have a keen eye for subtle details, numbers, letters etc,.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- High school graduate preferred
- Must be able to stand for multiple hours with little to no strain or stress on feet, legs, back, or any other effects that may rise from many hours of standing
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs with out stress or strain
