FLEET TRAINER
Florence, Kentucky
$30.00 – $34.00 per hour
Compensation based on experience, qualifications, leadership background, and overall fit.
This hybrid role combines Fleet Training, Safety Support, Operational Assistance, and Driver Leadership responsibilities. You will work closely with Operations, Safety, and HR while supporting both our drivers and terminal operations on a daily basis.
The right candidate will have strong real-world trucking experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to hold drivers accountable while still earning their respect.

Onfreight Logistics USA is a growing asset-based carrier operating throughout the Midwest and Canada with a strong reputation in cross-border transportation, JIT freight, and dry van operations. As our Florence terminal continues to expand, we are looking to add an experienced transportation professional who can help support our drivers, operations team, and overall fleet standards.
This is not just another driving position.
We are looking for someone who understands trucking from the ground up — someone who can lead by example, mentor drivers, support safety initiatives, assist around the yard, and step in operationally wherever needed. The ideal candidate is highly respected, dependable, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Safely operate a Class A CMV in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
Conduct road tests for prospective CDL drivers and provide detailed evaluations.
Train and onboard new drivers through ride-alongs, orientation, coaching, and mentorship.
Assist drivers with Hours of Service compliance, ELD usage, trip planning, and operational expectations.
Support accident investigations, safety follow-up, and driver coaching when required.
Complete yard checks, trailer inspections, and equipment condition reviews.
Assist with yard moves, trailer organization, and fleet readiness.
Support dispatch and operations during high-volume periods or operational coverage needs.
Reinforce company expectations surrounding safety, professionalism, cleanliness, inspections, and customer service.
Cover local or regional runs when operationally required.
Act as a leadership presence within the terminal and set the standard for professionalism and accountability.
Valid CDL Class A License with clean driving record.
Minimum 5 years of verifiable dry van experience preferred.
Cross-border and JIT freight experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience training, mentoring, road testing, or coaching drivers is highly valued.
Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, inspections, and compliance expectations.
Professional attitude with strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently, on weekends when needed and make decisions, and adapt in a fast-paced trucking environment.
Comfortable being hands-on both inside and outside the truck.
Competitive hourly compensation between $30-$34/hr.
