American Traveler is seeking a High Risk Antepartum RN for a Level 1 trauma OB Special Care Unit requiring Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

OB Special Care Unit within a Level 1 trauma hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
-
Care for high-risk antepartum, L&D, postpartum, and newborn patients
-
Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact eNLC) required
-
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required upon hire
-
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required upon hire

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required upon hire
-
Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
-
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
-
Experience in antepartum, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care in a Level 1 trauma setting required

Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques

Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-
Responsible for an assigned group of high-risk antepartum patients

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments, noting changes in physician orders

Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic or treatment procedures
-
Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
-
Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
-
Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
-
Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
-
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
-
Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced, with no flexibility on start dates
-
Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to allow for compliance processing
-
Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
