Job Summary
Responsible for supervising and managing the patient registration process, ensuring smooth operations, accuracy of information, and exceptional patient experience.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage a team of registration staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure efficient and accurate patient registration.
- Oversee the patient registration process, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and completeness of patient information, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Utilize and manage registration systems and software, ensuring they are updated, efficient, and support accurate data entry and retrieval.
- Resolve patient inquiries, complaints, or issues related to registration processes, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to registration staff to enhance their skills and maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Coordinate with other departments such as billing, finance, and clinical areas to facilitate smooth patient flow and resolve registration-related issues.
- Generate reports related to registration metrics, patient volumes, and operational efficiency, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of healthcare regulations, patient privacy laws (HIPAA), insurance verification processes, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to coordinate activities, manage staff, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction and problem-solving abilities in resolving service-related issues.
Meticulous attention to detail in ensuring accurate and complete patient information and documentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
