About the Role
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Warehouse Worker II and play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations that help deliver life-saving products, personal protective equipment, and scientific tools used around the world. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment processing orders, handling inventory, and collaborating with a team to meet customer expectations. This role offers strong growth potential, competitive pay, and full benefits starting on Day 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer orders daily to meet expectations and delivery timelines
- Work in one or more warehouse process paths including receiving, picking, packing, or shipping
- Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials handling
- Ensure inventory is stored properly and organized within the warehouse
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Support overall warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
Environment
- Warehouse setting with regular exposure to typical warehouse conditions
- Requires standing and moving for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 70 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Work involves physical activity and use of warehouse equipment
QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Experience
- At least 1 year of general warehouse experience
- Experience with powered industrial trucks, including order pickers
- Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus
- Experience with computers and scanning equipment is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to also work independently and solve problems quickly
- Ability to read and write in English
- Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting and extended standing/movement
