We are seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Machinist with at least 3 years of hands-on Swiss machining experience. The ideal candidate is capable of independently setting up machines, optimizing processes, maintaining quality standards, and producing precision components with minimal supervision.
This role supports customers in industries including Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, Industrial, and Data Center.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Swiss-type CNC lathes (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, or similar).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments at the machine.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Maintain tight tolerances and consistently meet quality requirements.
- Optimize cycle times and reduce setup times through continuous improvement.
- Work closely with programmers, quality personnel, and production supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Swiss CNC machining experience.
- Experience setting up Swiss CNC machines independently.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Strong understanding of cutting tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Star, Citizen, Tsugami, or Hanwha Swiss machines.
- Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, aluminum, and engineering plastics.
- Basic G-code editing.
- Experience with Mastercam, Esprit, PartMaker, or similar CAM software.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement.
- Experience in Medical or Aerospace manufacturing.
