Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain engines, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repairs, ensuring optimal powertrain performance.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems effectively.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire alignments, brake repairs, and suspension work to uphold safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely while performing mechanical repairs or auto body work.
- Diagnose and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), automotive electrical systems, and other vehicle electronic components.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during all repair procedures.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with automotive repair shops is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine technology, powertrain components, and vehicle systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and interpreting schematics for complex electrical wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handle manual tasks efficiently, and work on various vehicle models including standard passenger cars and trucks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Prior experience in auto body repair, welding, alignment services, or maintenance roles will be considered a plus.
