Position Summary:
We are looking for motivated, detail-oriented self-starters-Accountants (Certified Public Accountants)with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting and demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
- Perform bookkeeping and general accounting tasks
- Assist with audits, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting
- Analyze financial data and provide financial recommendations
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting standards
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and workpapers
Qualifications:
- Active CPA license (for CPA applicants)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, tax prep software, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and time management abilities
- Willingness to work on-site in Fort Dodge, Iowa
