POSITION SUMMARY
The DSP for the Day Program is responsible for performing the skills, training activities and services to clients in a safe, effective, healthful and respectful manner. Promote a respectful, inclusive, and person-centered environment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Responsible for direct client care. Duties include but are not limited to; social engagement with clients, leading daily activities, taking clients on community outings, assisting with feeding, toileting
- Support clients with mobility, including use of wheelchairs or other adaptive devices.
- Help individuals follow routines and schedules.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience: No prior experience necessary
Computer Skills: Outlook, Basic Computer and Typing Skills
Certifications &
Licenses: Must have and maintain a current driver’s license. Must be a licensed driver for at least 3 years.
Other Requirements: Must be a minimum of 19 years of age.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Large building, divided into program and activity spaces. General office environment. Frequent interaction with any stakeholder within the agency (i.e. supervisors, co-workers, clients, general public, outside agencies, etc.).
