SandBox, a U.S. Silica company, is seeking a safety-focused and dependable CDL Driver to join our team in Bellaire, OH. This role is responsible for operating company vehicles and transporting materials, equipment, and products safely and efficiently throughout the site and local operating areas while maintaining compliance with all company, DOT, and site-specific safety regulations.
Compensation: Competitive pay structure based on load volume plus mileage reimbursement.
The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles including dump trucks, flatbeds, and haul trucks within site and local operating areas
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Load, transport, and unload materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety procedures
- Maintain accurate mileage, inspection, and delivery documentation
- Communicate vehicle maintenance concerns or repair needs promptly to leadership or maintenance personnel
- Support yard, warehouse, or plant operations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid CDL license required
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe driving practices
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
- Good driving record with working knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and industrial conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
