Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Subcontractor specializing in Framing to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing framing projects efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all structures meet safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Your expertise in metal building erection, wood framing, and related construction tasks will be essential to delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. Duties
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine framing requirements and dimensions.
- Erect metal buildings, metal stud framing, and wood framing with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Install rebar and perform concrete forming tasks as needed for foundational work.
- Execute masonry, stucco, siding, roofing, plastering, and trim carpentry to enhance structural integrity and finish quality.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large materials or structural components.
- Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools; perform dimensional measurements for framing accuracy.
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to construction plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling materials and tools.
- Assist in restoration or remodeling projects by applying carpentry skills such as framing, siding installation, or drywall finishing.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute tasks precisely according to specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in metal building erection, framing (including wood framing), concrete forming, masonry, or related construction fields.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings relevant to framing projects.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction site safety practices.
- Familiarity with construction management principles including scheduling, coordination with subcontractors, and project documentation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for accurate framing work.
- Prior experience working on diverse construction sites such as restoration projects or remodeling is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of building codes related to framing standards including metal stud framing, roofing systems, siding applications, and plastering techniques.
