We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable processing, credit card reconciliations, purchase order tracking, and month-end reporting activities. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.

Process vendor invoices, verify statements, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate accounts payable records.

Manage accounts payable transactions and ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.

Track, audit, and reconcile company credit card transactions and allocate expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts.

Receive and process purchase orders while maintaining associated receiving and shipping documentation.

Assist with month-end close activities and support the preparation of financial reports.

Meet established reporting deadlines and maintain accurate accounting records.

Support payroll distribution and related accounting workflows.

Assist with document management, record retention, and audit preparation.

Provide backup support to other office and administrative team members as needed.

Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to resolve accounting and payment issues.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum of 2 years of accounting, accounts payable, finance, or related experience preferred.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Access.

Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards (JDE) experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, invoice processing, and financial reconciliations.
