Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric & Young Adult Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric and young adult nursing, with experience in critical care settings, medical documentation, and patient assessment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults requiring specialized nursing care within a supportive environment.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric and young adult patients, including routine assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AloraPlus, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in triage activities to prioritize urgent care needs effectively within the clinical setting.
- Support infection control protocols and ensure adherence to safety standards across all patient interactions.
- Collaborates with the team and has strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Valid LVN license with current state certification required.
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- We are open 3 weekends a month for overnight care for our medically fragile children & young adults. Weekend availability required of 4 shifts per month.
- Weekend shift differential plus overtime on the weekends is available.
- Prior experience working with pediatric and young adult populations in settings such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to pediatrics and adults.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as medication administration, injections, airway management, and tube feeding accurately and aseptically.
- Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and client education; compassionate approach essential for working with children and families.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, HIPAA confidentiality policies, and long-term care regulations required.

Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
