Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes, menu specifications, and dietary guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production appliances safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures meet food safety standards and sanitizing protocols
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new breakfast dishes and ensuring recipe adherence for consistency
- Maintain high-volume production levels while ensuring quality control and presentation standards are met
- Support dietary department requirements by accommodating special dietary needs and adhering to dietary guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow, timely meal preparation, and excellent food service experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment, with a focus on breakfast or brunch menus
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Exceptional knife skills with the ability to execute precise cuts and food prep tasks efficiently
- Experience with cooking methods such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary techniques
- Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely in high-volume settings
- Ability to follow recipes meticulously while maintaining flexibility for menu adjustments
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
