Assisting Hands is seeking patient, compassionate caregivers with experience supporting our geriatric clients and a passion for helping them feel safe, calm, and respected, we want you on our team.
This is a non-medical caregiving position. STNAs and CNAs are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Offer patient, reassuring companionship tailored to memory care needs
- Help redirect and calm confusion, agitation, or anxiety with a gentle approach
- Prepare meals and support safe eating habits
- Maintain a safe, structured home environment (light housekeeping, fall-risk awareness)
- Assist with mobility and transfers
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of caregiving experience, experience with dementia/ Alzheimer's/memory care a plus
- Familiarity with dementia care basics (routine, redirection, communication techniques)
- Calm, patient, and compassionate under pressure
- Able to work independently and confidently from day one
- Hoyer life experience is a plus!
Requirements
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
- Must be 21 years of age or older (insurance requirement for client transport)
- Able to safely assist with transfers and lift up to 50 lbs.
