Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a reassuring environment during their hospital stay
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as mobility, feeding, and personal hygiene, ensuring comfort and dignity
- Monitor patient well-being by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to medical staff promptly
- Support patient transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques and medical equipment operation standards
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and record patient interactions within electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Uphold patient safety protocols by adhering to infection control practices and ensuring compliance with care facility standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to address needs and provide updates on patient status
Skills
- Experience working in Level II trauma centers, Level I trauma centers, or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hospital medicine, medical-surgical care, geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), and post-acute care settings
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS), CPR, infection control, and patient safety procedures
- Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records efficiently
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and vital signs monitoring techniques
- Skilled in manual handling, patient transfer methods, and working with geriatric or inpatient populations
- Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
