Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders by restocking beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glassware, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring compliance with food service bar safety standards.
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from the bar and dining areas to keep the venue tidy and inviting.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, stock movement, and equipment setup with proper safety precautions.
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic garnishing or assembling simple menu items.
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and order processing accurately.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth venue beverage service and guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, especially in busy bar or banquet environments.
- Familiarity with venue beverage service, catering, or banquet operations is advantageous.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food industry safety standards and food service bar safety compliance is important.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking.
- Prior experience in hospitality settings that involve food preparation, cashiering, or catering will be beneficial.
