Our modern air-conditioned manufacturing facility in Wheeling, IL has an immediate need for General Laborer/Assembler to do entry level Electroplating work which could involve:
1) using materials like lacquers, waxes, tapes, and plugs to cover/protect a specific areas of a part from being coated/electroplating process and 2) dis-assembly, stripping and cleaning to remove coatings/paint of a metal part to prepare it for the next-step.
Must be comfortable working in an environment where chemicals are present as well as not being allergic to chemicals.
Position is for 1st shift which is usually 6am to 2:30pm.
DUTIES:
- Assists by preparing parts by stripping off layers of paint and other coating
- Required to read, understand and follow work orders
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and properly using and maintaining PPE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a high school diploma
- Prefer at least 1 year of manufacturing environment experience
- Blueprint reading a plus
- Basic math skills are essential
- Comfortable standing most of the work shift
- Can be relied upon to be at work on a consistent basis
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where chemicals are present
Fixed pay rate of $18.00 per hour
