Position Summary
As a Pump Technician, you'll play a critical role in rebuilding, repairing, troubleshooting, and testing precision cryogenic pumps and rotating equipment in our Irvine Service Center. You'll work with a highly skilled team to deliver quality repairs that exceed customer expectations while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. We will train on our specifics!
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild cryogenic pumps, motors, and related equipment
- Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Assemble components to precise tolerances, including bearings, seals, and rotating assemblies
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of equipment failures
- Operate shop equipment including hydraulic presses, drill presses, grinders, pipe threading equipment, saws, and additional mechanical tools
- Perform dimensional inspections and verify equipment meets engineering and quality specifications
- Document repair work and communicate findings to improve equipment reliability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and OSHA standards
- Meet production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards
What We're Looking For
We're looking for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy diagnosing problems, rebuilding equipment, and taking pride in producing quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical repair, maintenance, manufacturing, or shop environment
- If you are a Military Veteran, we will train and know you have transferable skillsets!
- Experience repairing pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, motors, gearboxes, valves, or other industrial machinery
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of bearings, seals, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies
- Machining, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus
- Cryogenic or industrial gas equipment experience is a plus, but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
