Position Summary

The Shipper is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customers receive the correct products on time and in excellent condition. The Shipper supports both online and in-person retail operations and assists with general warehouse responsibilities as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders accurately using pick lists.
- Verify products, quantities, and order accuracy before packaging.
- Package merchandise securely to prevent damage during shipment.
- Generate and apply shipping labels.
- Insert provided literature into each order.
- Process shipments through approved carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.).
- Maintain shipping accuracy and meet daily shipping deadlines.
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying inventory.
- Stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Restock picking locations as inventory is depleted.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow established warehouse procedures and safety practices.
- Report damaged merchandise, inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety hazards.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, ladders, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist customers purchasing merchandise in person when requested.
- Work cooperatively with other warehouse employees to achieve daily production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, fulfillment, or retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb ladders.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment.
- Work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet shipping deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting inventory.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Work Environment
This position works primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent movement throughout the facility. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, warehouse equipment, shipping materials, and moderate noise levels.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
