Senior Electrical Engineer – (Aerospace & Defense)

Compensation: $115,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience, expertise, and demonstrated performance

Position Overview
We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and integrate electrical hardware for advanced autonomous and aerospace systems.This role offers end-to-end ownership of electrical hardware development—from initial concept and schematic capture through PCB design, prototyping, validation, system integration, and production support. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable, high-performance systems designed for demanding real-world environments.Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical hardware and electronic systems from concept through production
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, electrical documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), and test procedures
- Develop and integrate embedded electrical hardware into larger system architectures
- Design and support power electronics, battery management, voltage regulation, and power distribution systems
- Build, assemble, solder, and troubleshoot prototype hardware
- Perform hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and root cause analysis
- Conduct electrical testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment
- Support system integration, field testing, and engineering validation activities
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams
- Participate in design reviews and continuously improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Support the transition of designs from prototype through production
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience designing and developing electrical hardware, preferably within aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, or other high-performance products
- Experience designing schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or similar CAD software
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with embedded hardware systems and communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I²C, and UART
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and prototype testing
- Experience using electrical laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced engineering environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience with power electronics, battery management systems, motor drives, or power distribution
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, or ruggedized hardware design
- Experience with RF or wireless communication systems
- Experience supporting products from prototype through manufacturing
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and IPC standards
