Overview
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Coordinator/Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead production associates, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and compliance with operational standards while supporting a high-performance manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Meet daily production targets related to efficiency, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure all plant policies, procedures, and production/process requirements are consistently followed.
- Ensure all pre-shift operational activities are completed before production startup.
- Review production issues, assembly concerns, and complex manufacturing problems and coordinate corrective actions.
- Lead and support production area associates during daily operations.
- Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, recognition, and disciplinary action when necessary.
- Maintain positive employee relations through effective two-way communication and timely follow-up on employee concerns and feedback.
- Coordinate attendance records, absenteeism, and staffing coverage using the production calendar.
- Ensure all associates receive proper training and maintain competency through cross-training and job rotation initiatives.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities including: Kaizen, TPM and Best Quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and internal quality requirements.
- Create and modify process sheets, work instructions, and related documentation to provide clear and accurate guidance to associates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, or production coordination.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and demand planning methodologies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong and effective communication, and leadership skills to collaborate across departments and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with production metrics and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of ISO/IATF standards preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
