Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, off road trucks, compactors, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Manage construction site activities by safely operating equipment including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute site plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and preparing the site for subsequent phases.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules for accountability and efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment for everyone on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and similar machinery.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations combined with mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and operate machinery from brands like Caterpillar or other major manufacturers.
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating safe work practices and teamwork skills.
- Additional certifications in heavy equipment operation or related fields are a plus but not mandatory.
