Job Summary
The Senior Recruiter independently manages full-cycle recruiting for a broad range of production, technical, professional, and leadership positions. This role partners with hiring managers to define hiring needs, develop effective job descriptions and sourcing strategies, evaluate candidates, and use recruiting data and market insights to improve hiring outcomes. The Senior Recruiter also helps maintain the systems, job boards, and processes that support an efficient and positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage assigned requisitions through the full recruiting lifecycle, from intake and job posting through candidate selection, offer acceptance, and handoff for onboarding.
· Partner with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs, define role requirements, establish selection criteria, and develop or update accurate and effective job descriptions.
· Create, post, and maintain job advertisements across the company career site, job boards, social media, professional networks, and other appropriate recruiting channels.
· Review applications, screen resumes, conduct phone or video screens, and assess candidates against position requirements and business needs.
· Develop proactive sourcing strategies and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions.
· Guide hiring managers on candidate evaluation, interview practices, labor-market conditions, compensation considerations, and recruiting strategy.
· Maintain accurate and timely requisition, candidate, interview, disposition, and hiring records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
· Manage relationships with job boards, recruiting platforms, staffing agencies, and other external recruiting resources; monitor performance and recommend changes when appropriate.
· Track and analyze recruiting KPIs and funnel data, including time to fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion, offer acceptance, and requisition aging, to identify trends and improve results.
· Prepare recruiting updates and hiring insights for HR leadership and hiring managers, highlighting pipeline health, market conditions, bottlenecks, risks, and recommended actions.
· Support recruiting process improvements, employer-branding initiatives, hiring events, and other projects that strengthen the company's ability to attract and hire qualified talent.
· Provide candidates with timely, professional communication and a consistent, respectful experience throughout the hiring process.
Minimum Qualifications
· Four years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including independent management of multiple requisitions at the same time.
· Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting candidate screens, and partnering with hiring managers throughout the selection process.
· Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, job boards, recruiting platforms, and standard recruiting metrics.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear job advertisements and communicate effectively with candidates and business leaders.
· Strong organization, judgment, follow-through, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
· Recruiting experience in manufacturing, engineering, skilled trades, or another environment with a mix of high-volume and specialized hiring needs.
· Experience using recruiting analytics and labor-market data to advise hiring managers and improve sourcing or selection strategies.
· Experience improving ATS workflows, job-board performance, interview processes, or other talent-acquisition systems and practices.
· Experience recruiting for leadership, technical, or other difficult-to-fill positions.
