Job Summary:
Seeking Medical Biller/Collector for busy Internal Medicine Practice with MDX experience.
Duties/Skills Needed:
- MDX Experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years of medical billing, collections, and/or payment posting experience.
- Review medical records and documentation to verify billing accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly, communicating with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Manage patient accounts by collecting outstanding balances through phone calls, emails, or written correspondence while maintaining professionalism and sensitivity.
- Experience working with payer websites.
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate entry of medical coding information and proper documentation of services provided.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding standards, and insurance policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Commercial insurance insurance.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
