Job Title: Safety Supervisor
Job Overview: CIMC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Supervisor to join our growing organization. The Safety Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting a safe working environment by assisting in the implementation and oversight of safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Compile and organize safety documentation, including training records, safety meetings, and compliance reports.
- Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on safety metrics, trends, and key performance indicators for management review.
- Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory agencies in accordance with established timelines.
- Compliance:
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in safety laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team.
- Training and Communication:
- Coordinate safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring that all relevant safety procedures and protocols are communicated effectively.
- Act as a liaison between management and employees to address safety concerns and provide guidance on safe work practices.
- Investigation:
- Participate in the investigation of safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, gathering information and contributing to the development of corrective and preventive action plans.
- Emergency Response:
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response procedures and drills.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure the availability and functionality of safety equipment and resources.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with the safety team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.
- Propose and implement initiatives to enhance the overall safety culture within the organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in occupational safety is a plus.
- Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably as a Safety Clerk or in a similar administrative capacity.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
